Showing My Stack (Again)

Last year I revealed The Stack and it was quite popular. Well lately it’s become fashionable to show your stack as I’ve seen at BoingBoing, SF Signal, and a few others who are pointing to the Flickr: Reading Stack pool. Since I’ve played at this before, I’ll play again. These images are from a few months ago when I had to re-shelve and box up some books (the pain of running out of room). Since these images were taken I’ve added another 20 or so – and yes, pretty much every book visible in the photos is to-be read.

Yum! That's a lovely stack of books. I posted some of my book piles earlier in the year.

I love looking at pics of people's bookshelves.

I can see several covers in there that look quite appealing - am going to have to go and look the titles up now!

What is the book in the fourth photo, on the shelf between Tim Powers' "Expiration Date" and "Wyrd Sisters"? What I can see of the spine intrigues me.

Can't wait to get my new bookcases up in the new house so I can post some photos when all my books are organised on them...

Very fun! And I thought my too-be-read pile was big! ;)

Quixoitc - that is Four and Twenty Blackbirds by Cherie Priest. I haven't read it yet, but it sounds great - generally considered somewhere between horror and dark fantasy.

Thank you! Having looked it up on Amazon, I'm buying it straight away. The cover and the description are both extremely appealing to me.
